Morris TriState to Host Manufacturing Seminar

(Windsor, CT) Morris TriState will host Manufacturing 2K10, an informative seminar, on Thursday, January 21st at the Melville Marriott from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Designed specifically for manufacturers on Long Island in response to the overwhelming success of seminars held at our Connecticut office. Manufacturing 2K10 will feature four inter-related topics of interest:

Green & Lean
Purchase Smart— Payback Fast (Essential machine options)
Portable Metrology (Romer® CMM)
Attendees will learn about machining of difficult materials; hard milling strategies; developments in dry & semi-dry machining; high speed machining and recent evolutions in “green” machining in the first three sessions by Dr. Bert Erdel. Dr. Erdel holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and has filled executive positions with world-class machine tool and tooling manufacturers. He has authored several industry texts, contributes regularly to trade publications, and is Executive Technology Advisor for Morris Group, Inc.
Portable Metrology, will be presented by Stu Reardon and Scott Grumbles of ROMER®. They will discuss versatile and flexible coordinate measuring machines designed for very larges workpieces and assembled products. The seminar begins at 10:00 AM sharp and will include a working lunch. Q&A to follow, as time permits.
